Little Acorn Learning Curriculum

Little Acorn Learning is a curriculum that I am following that comes from another provider that I met on naturalchildcare@yahoogroups.com It is developed monthly by Eileen Straiton of Little Acorn Learning, which is her own home child care. http://www.littleacornlearning.com/

I started it in September and plan on using it for as long as it's created. It is a wonderful monthly curriculum using ideas from nature "Four Weeks of Blessings, Verses, Nature Walks, Crafts, Recipes, Children's Meditations, Caregiver Meditations, Outdoor Suggestions, Stories, Fingerplays and More!"

This little notebook, although pretty plain right now, was put together as a way to journal things in nature that we see or hear, feel, touch or smell... I can help Catriona write things or she can color or draw herself. The kids can collect leaves, seeds, pine needles or other small items found during our daily nature walks and keep them in the zip lock baggy provided, for further study... We will be adding to it throughout the coming seasons...
